Real Life Discipleship #5
Church Alignment
Our final week our discipleship review focuses on church alignment. As a church, we are committed to our Mission: Discover. Connect. Impact, and our Vision: Life Together, with our Discipleship Goal: Four:19 Disciples. When aligned around these statements, the church becomes a powerful disciplemaking force.
We can look at being aligned as a church in several different areas:
- Relational Alignment: Members work to deepen relationships with God and others, challenge each other to spiritual growth, and to resolve conflict biblically.
- Philosophical Alignment: Each environment/program in the church understands the disciplemaking goal and how that environment contributes to that disciplemaking goal.
- Theological Alignment: Elders, staff, and key volunteers understand the church’s beliefs and can explain the church’s beliefs to anyone who asks.
- Organizational Alignment: Resources of scheduling, funding, and publicity reflect the church’s mission, vision, and disciple profile
